Waribashi - Chopsticks Battle
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This English version is a translation. If there is any inconsistency, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Introduction
Meowtaverse Games (operated by Tokusei Noborio) (referred to below as “we”) respects users’ privacy and strives to protect personal information in Waribashi - Chopsticks Battle (referred to below as “the app”). This privacy policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information collected automatically
The app may automatically collect the following information:
- Device type, OS version, and language settings
- App usage (number of plays, game modes, ad impressions and taps, etc.)
- Diagnostic information such as crash logs and error information
- In-app identifiers (Firebase app instance IDs, anonymous authentication user IDs, iOS identifier for vendors (IDFV), and identifiers used by Google AdMob for ad delivery and fraud prevention)
- Approximate region inferred from the IP address (at roughly the city level, not precise location from GPS or similar methods. Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics use this for ad delivery, usage analysis, and fraud prevention)
Identifiers used by Google AdMob and approximate region information are sent to Google for ad delivery.
2.2 Anonymous authentication and online battles
When the app starts, a user ID is generated through anonymous authentication (used for online battles). When you use online battles, this user ID, the match state (such as the game board), and the date and time are stored on Firebase. We do not collect personally identifying information such as names or email addresses.
2.3 Information we do not collect
The app does not collect the following information:
- Names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses
- Precise location information from GPS or similar methods
- Contacts, photos, or other data on your device
- Android advertising ID
2.4 Browser version
The app can also be played in a web browser (https://waribashi.meowtaverse-games.com/). The browser version works as follows; otherwise, it is the same as the app version.
- It does not display ads (Google AdMob is not used).
- Firebase Analytics is used to analyze usage. Storage and use of data for advertising, ad personalization, and Google signals are disabled. For analytics, identifiers such as cookies are stored in your browser.
- Firebase Crashlytics is not used.
- In addition to device type, OS version, and language settings, information such as browser type and version, screen size, and the page viewed and referring page is sent.
- Anonymous authentication information and game settings are stored in your browser’s storage.
- The program and fonts needed to display the browser version are loaded from Google servers (gstatic.com). When this happens, your IP address and browser information are sent to Google.
3. How we use information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving app features
- Detecting and fixing crashes
- Analyzing usage
- Displaying ads (with the child-directed settings described in Section 5)
- Preventing fraud and maintaining security
4. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services. Please also review each service’s privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (ad delivery; app version only) — Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase Analytics (usage analysis) — Firebase Privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting; app version only)
- Firebase Hosting (delivery of the browser version; browser version only)
- Firebase Authentication (anonymous authentication)
- Cloud Firestore (online battle data)
5. Advertising and tracking
The app displays ads using Google AdMob (the browser version does not display ads). Because the app is intended for all ages, including children, it requests ads with settings that treat all users as children.
- We do not use interest-based advertising (personalized ads) or remarketing.
- Ad content is limited to general audiences (G).
- We do not use advertising IDs for ad personalization or tracking. In the Android version, the permission to use the advertising ID itself has been removed. We do not request tracking permission either.
- We have also disabled the sending of ad personalization signals by Firebase Analytics.
However, the iOS versions available on the App Store as of October 18, 2026 (including versions released before that date) do not have the child-directed settings described above (other than the limit on ad content). These versions request tracking permission through the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and use the IDFA if permission is granted; they may also display interest-based ads. Since October 18, 2026, ad content in these versions is also limited to general audiences (G). Future iOS updates will adopt the practices described above.
6. Data storage and deletion
- Game settings data is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
- In the browser version, anonymous authentication information, game settings, and analytics identifiers (including cookies) are stored in your browser. They are deleted when you clear the site data for meowtaverse-games.com (including waribashi.meowtaverse-games.com) in your browser (the anonymous authentication account and room records on Firebase are handled as described below).
- The online battle room record (including the user IDs, battle state, and timestamps described in Section 2.2) typically expires 24 hours after the last activity (including automatic communication while the battle screen is open) and is then automatically deleted, typically within 24 hours of expiring. Even if the device clock is off, it is typically deleted within about 8 days at most. However, room records used only by the Android and iOS versions 1.1.0 and earlier are not deleted automatically (this includes the iOS versions available on the App Store as of October 18, 2026).
- The anonymous authentication account (user ID) itself in Firebase Authentication is not deleted automatically.
- Online battle room records and anonymous authentication user IDs are deleted upon request sent to the contact in Section 9.
- Per-user data in Firebase Analytics is deleted within a maximum of 14 months after the last use (aggregated statistics not linked to individuals are retained).
- Crash information in Firebase Crashlytics is deleted after 90 days.
7. Children’s privacy
The app is intended for all ages, including children. The following describes the practices in versions with the child-directed settings in Section 5 (see Section 5 for the exception for older iOS versions). The same applies to the browser version (which does not display ads).
- Users do not need to register an account, and we do not ask children to enter personal information such as names, email addresses, or precise location.
- Of the information described in Section 2, we collect only what is necessary to provide the app, analyze usage, prevent fraud, and deliver ads with the child-directed settings in Section 5.
- Google AdMob is an ad SDK that has self-certified that it meets the requirements of the Google Play Families Policy, and we use it with child-directed settings in the app.
- We operate with consideration for laws concerning children’s privacy, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Parents and guardians can contact us using the contact in Section 9 about the handling of their child’s information. We also respond to requests such as deletion of information. Because we do not hold information that can identify users, such as names, please provide details such as the approximate date and time of online battle use when making a request. If we cannot identify the relevant data, or it has already been deleted automatically, we will explain this. Uninstalling the app also stops further information collection. In the browser version, closing the page stops collection, and clearing the site data for meowtaverse-games.com also deletes the identifiers.
8. Changes to this privacy policy
This policy may be updated as needed. We will announce significant changes on this page.
